Twin Cities Area Shih Tzu Club

Last Update: 5/11/08
The Twin Cities Area Shih Tzu Club was formed in 1973. The first meeting was held on November 5, 1973.
The purpose of our club is to do everything possible to protect and maintain the integrity of the Shih Tzu breed.
We educate the general public about the Shih Tzu with our main concern being the health and welfare of the breed.
We urge our members and breeders to accept and breed to the Standard of the Breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only Standard of Excellence by which Shih Tzu shall be judged.
To do all in our power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsman like competition at dog shows, obedience trials and agility trials.
Our Members are located primarily in Minnesota but we do have a few members in Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska.
